From Viote to Parolet: the circuit of the Pale of Bondone between history and nature.
Starting from the Viote barracks, you climb along what was the old military road, then following the signs to the SAT hut. At the end of the road, you enter the trail that retraces the path that connected the various positions in the sector, with beautiful views of the Adige valley. A route that embraces the historical memory of Bondone, in a natural setting that leaves room for adventure.

Roadbook
The starting point is the large parking lot a short distance from the Austro-Hungarian barracks of the Viote. You follow the provincial road for a short stretch and at the first fork on the left you begin to climb the military road which, with a few bends, gently crosses the meadow above the barracks. Once in the woods, the road continues along the southern slope of Palon until reaching the pass. Following the path, which gradually becomes a trail, you skirt the northern slope of the Pale, characterized by numerous still visible military works. This stretch is part of the SAT 626 trail, which connects the village of Ravina with the Palon summit along the wild Val di Gola. Shortly after, you reach the SAT hut of Ravina and then continue, descending, to the Parolet saddle. Continuing straight, now on the SAT 693 trail, you go around the summit of Parolet, which you can reach from the north and which offers a truly scenic view. You return back to the saddle and take the SAT 692 trail towards Garniga, which descends for a stretch in the southwest direction. Upon reaching the hairpin bend of the trail, you leave it, continuing straight along the slopes of Palon on the firebreak trail characterized by the presence of water intake vents. A last short climb leads to reach the first hairpin bend of the provincial road 25 which connects the village of Garniga to the Viote. Now uphill along the asphalt road until reaching the first house and then the group of buildings that formed the core of the Viote barracks.
