An easy hike with a great barbecue shelter.
The “Auf der Ebene” loop trail can be started at the Freizeithütte parking lot, or you can conveniently begin at the spacious parking area at the Nufringen sports complex. From there, the access to the loop trail is well-signposted, so you’ll only have to walk a few extra meters. The loop trail is signposted in both directions and runs along the Schönbuchtrauf, with the picturesque village of Nufringen at its feet. Halfway along the route, you’ll pass the Schloßberg hill in Herrenberg. There, families in particular will enjoy a detour to the “Murmelbahn Teuchel” marbles slide and the animal adventure trail.
At the start and end of the loop is the Nufringen recreation hut, featuring a spacious covered barbecue area and comfortable seating where you can relax. Other points of interest along the route include several abandoned quarries as well as the idyllic natural monument known as the “Four-Trunk Beech.”
The signposts along the “Auf der Ebene” loop trail are made of wood, which makes them stand out nicely from other signposts.

The circular route "Auf der Ebene" can be started at the Freizeithütte parking lot or you can use the generous parking facilities at the sports grounds Nufringen as the starting point. From there, the access to the circular route is signposted and it is only a few meters further. The circular route is signposted in both directions and runs along the Schönbuch ridge with Nufringen at its feet. Halfway along the route, you pass the Schlossberg of Herrenberg. A detour there is worthwhile for families to the Teuchel marble run and the animal adventure trail.
Along the route is the Freizeithütte Nufringen. There is a generously covered barbecue area and seating. Other sights along the route include several disused quarries and the natural monument "Four-stemmed beech".
The signposts on the circular route "Auf der Ebene" are made of wood and thus stand out well from other signposts.
