Alma trip circle.
Entertainment: Views, castle tour, refreshments at the restaurant on the top, or at the restaurant by the artificial lake.
Weather: In case of heavy rain, the trip will be canceled.
Preparation: Sitno, Sitno castle, Banská Štiavnica water management system.
Sitno is the highest peak of the Štiavnické vrchy mountains, 1009 meters above sea level. It is clearly visible from many Slovak peaks and offers wide views. Below Sitno is the Počúvadlo reservoir - the largest reservoir in the Štiavnické vrchy with an interesting history. A very nice path leads to Sitno.
We will park at the beginning of the trail by the Počúvadlo reservoir. We will climb Sitno, where we will explore the views. Along the educational trail, we will move to the ruins of Sitno castle from the 13th century. We will complete the round on the educational trail back to the parking lot. If there's interest, we can walk around the Počúvadlo reservoir (2 km on flat terrain). Finally, we will drive the children home.
