Annweiler Forsthaus circular hiking trail 3 to Kirschfelsen
Circular hiking trail of the Pfälzerwald Nature Park to the Kirschfelsen viewpoint. Suitable for families, and accessible with a stroller up to the Kirschfelsen.
On the opposite side of the Annweiler Forsthaus, we leave the hiking parking lot straight on the hiking trail. A level path leads from the parking lot to the Kirschfelsen. There you have a magnificent panoramic view over the Pfälzerwald, like in the cinema. There is also a shelter there.
We turn our back to the view and turn right into a zigzag path. We hike downhill and follow marking 3 to the next shelter, the Rotsuhlerhütte. Now we turn left and hike back on a comfortable hiking trail to the starting point at the Annweiler Forsthaus.
Those who want to hike a little longer can descend into the Eiderbach valley and discover the original valley with circular trail 5. Another beautiful viewpoint is located on the Eiderberg above the Annweiler Forsthaus on circular trail 4.

Forsthaus Annweiler Schwarzer FuchsSafety information
General information:
Especially in autumn, it should be noted that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths may have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or cliffs are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you think certain path sections are not passable for you, you should avoid them.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forest work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a path closure or detour, please observe the instructions for your own safety.

For our hiking tours, we recommend the following equipment as standard:
- Sturdy footwear

- Sufficient supply of food and drinks, as there are not always places to eat or shop, or they may be closed.
- Although the paths are very well marked, it is advisable for safety reasons to always carry a suitable hiking map so that, for example, in the event of a thunderstorm or emergency, you can quickly find a safe area.
