This loop partly retraces the route of the Alta Via delle Creste: starting from Passo Padon, you reach the Crepe Rosse at 2223m, Sass de Roi 2372m, the Cime di Agnereze 2352m, the summit of Monte Migogn at 2384m, then descend towards Malga Laste and return to the starting point. Following vast meadows, in a succession of ridges and saddles, you can admire here and there the remains of old artifacts dating back to the First World War. From the summit, an impressive Monte Civetta is visible on the horizon.

Padon is reached via the C.A.I 699 trail from Passo Fedaia or by the comfortable Padon II chairlift. From here, the route begins on trail C.A.I 636 towards the Crepe Rosse and the homonymous pass at an altitude of 2137m. It continues with panoramic ups and downs among high mountain meadows up to Sas de Roi and the Cime d'Agnereze. From here you approach a charming hut called "Tabiè del Lof", from which you can take the left road that descends towards Malga Laste (path not recommended because it is unstable and damaged in several points) or the Rifugio Migogn. If you decide to reach the summit cross of Monte Migogn, keep in mind that the last stretch presents exposure along the mountain ridge. Once you reach the malga or refuge, the dirt road trail continues comfortably and calmly up to Passo delle Crepe Rosse. The last stretch is the same as the one done at the start.

    Author’s recommendation

Along the ridges of Monte Migogn, a certain experience and calmness in walking confidently with some exposure is required.

The path descending towards Malga Laste is not recommended because it is unstable and damaged in several points.
