Across lonely pastures

At Planina pod Golica, descend past the church and then follow a marked path through forests – crossing a forest road – ascend to the first pastures of Jeseniška planina, called Molzišče. From there, the path mostly follows a forest track leading to a shepherd's hut, from which continue uphill across the pasture to Rožca saddle (1587 m) with views of the Julian Alps and Austrian Carinthia. From there, head east towards Golica. First cross the slopes of Klek (1753 m), descend to Jekelj saddle (1487 m), then cross the slopes of Golica to the Hut on Golica. The path mostly runs through pastures, occasionally through sparse forest. The last part of the route is a descent from the Hut on Golica past the lower station of the cargo cableway and the Betel tourist farm to Planina pod Golica.

The entire path follows marked trails but requires extra attention for orientation due to lower traffic and numerous forest tracks.
