Roadbook
The hike starts at the train station in Steinfeld along Bahnhofstraße heading towards the town center. After the 2nd bridge, where the old federal road is crossed, continue along the Grabbach and follow the signs towards Flattachberg/Stagor. The highest homestead on Flattachberg is located at about 1,100m altitude, from here follow the service road uphill with several bends until at about 1,300m a small path branches off to the left. Varied—but quite steep—one marches uphill over the southern ridge. At the alpine pasture facing west, the view extends far into the valley and rewards the previous demanding elevation gain. At about 2,000m altitude, one crosses the west flank and finally reaches the summit over this. The last meters into the summit notch are somewhat rocky. The last easy ascent to the summit takes place over a grassy area.
