Rail & Trail "Over the Finsterbach waterfalls to the Peterlewand"
The first highlight is the three waterfalls in the hidden Finsterbach gorge. A detour leads a little higher into the idyllic forest gorge. The climate becomes cooler at the Gisela Grotto and the large bridge offers a beautiful view of the gorge. At the end, the fine curtain of water from the Schleier Falls is enchanting. After a short descent, the next detour takes us to the mystical rock cauldron of the Kessel Falls. The last short descent takes us to the Finsterbach Falls, which sometimes runs stronger, sometimes weaker - with a resting place that invites you to let your soul dangle.
At the upper edge of the village of Sattendorf, we continue along the edge of the forest, then dive back into the eternal forests of the steep Gerlitzen flank. The next ascent soon begins. Natural paths and tracks allow us to enjoy the natural idyll. After the inconspicuous highest point, the traditional Stofflwirt inn will delight you with its magnificent panoramic terrace and regional cuisine - our summit experience, so to speak! Congratulations!
The descent leads through mountain forest down to the last highlight: the panoramic pavilion above the Peterlewand - pure summer idyll! Finally, a path along the edge of the rock face, past the climbing garden, leads down to St. Urban am Ossiachersee railroad station. An absolute insider tip!
