Dellach - Berg short route
Along the Drau cycle path with a varied detour into the Geißlochklamm.
This route mainly runs in the forest on the south side of the Drau. At regular intervals, benches invite you to linger. The highlight is certainly the visit to the exciting Geißlochklamm, at the beginning of which there is a publicly accessible barbecue area.
Author’s recommendation
If time permits, a visit to the Ochsenschlucht is also recommended. With luck and a bit of patience, you can find fossils there.
Between the Geißlochklamm and Ochsenschlucht, gourmets will find what they are looking for at the 24-hour self-service window of the Binterhof farm. Topfen dream, various cheeses, and sausages are available!
To the left in front of the Drau bridge, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station in Berg, is the rest area with a wooden raft, a popular photo spot and excursion destination – with the original dimensions 12 x 4 meters – built by the raftmen of Berg, directly on the Drau. The seating and table on the raft invite you to stay longer.

Roadbook
After the Drau bridge, follow the paved Drau cycle path eastwards. From a distance, you can already see the "Drauoase", a walkable treehouse right on the Drau (plan a detour). After a short meadow section, most of the route lies in the forest. The entrance to the Geißlochklamm is unmistakable, with an information board, flag, and rest area with a barbecue station. You enter the Geißlochklamm via a small path and several wooden bridges. Certainly a hidden gem for nature experiences, the wildly romantic gorge impresses with its unique, rare fauna and flora and is very well developed for hikers.
Back on the Drau cycle path, you pass through the two well-kept villages of Feistritz and Tratten (with dining options) until you reach the Drau bridge. From there, the train station is already visible.
