On the marathon distance, that is 42 kilometers, the P track leads all the way to Dozmat on pleasant roads, mostly along the Arany Stream. In Dozmat, you can visit the Muzsla spring and the new reservoir visible from the nearby dam. On the Golden Deer nature trail, we reach the special Krisztina lookout with a great panorama of the Kőszeg Mountains. Then we cross to Felsőcsatár and enjoy the magnificent Pinka Gorge. A serious climb takes us up to Vas-hegy (Nagyvilágos), where we can admire the scenery from the tower, including both Hungarian and Austrian vineyards and mountains.
The Iron Curtain Museum, the Maria Chapel (with a new viewpoint), and timber-walled cellars follow, and then we rest a bit at Judit's wine bar. After Vaskeresztes and the idol press, we return via Jáplánpuszta. Then we arrive at the Park Forest buffet through the groves of the Tree of Life Park Forest. The rest of the distance to the finish is the same as the 10 km route: across the beautiful autumn paths of the South Transdanubian Blue Trail (DDK).
- Start: 7:00 - 8:00

Author’s recommendation
- In Dozmat, a few meters detour from the Muzsla spring to the dam is highly recommended. There is a great view of the new reservoir and the Kőszeg Mountains behind it.
- At the beginning of the Pinka Gorge, it is worth observing the fish ladder and the dam.
- Climbing the geodetic tower standing on Nagyvilágos is at your own risk! After overcoming the narrow iron ladder, you get a magnificent 360° view of domestic and Austrian landscapes.
- The Iron Curtain Museum is free to visit on the day of the route (for participants): it is worth spending some time there.
