Tips and suggestions
We start in Città Sant'Angelo and once we get onto the Adriatic bicycle path we cross the Torre del Cerrano Marine Protected Area until we reach Pineto. You pass through the village of Mutignano, the center of Atri and the Calanchi nature reserve until you reach Castiglione M. R. (Km 53 Mags point). Next stop is the village of Arsita at the foot of Mount Camicia. The Collecerri climb leads under the north face of Camicia and to the Faiani refuge. A nice descent leads into the hamlet of Castelli, then up to the headwaters of the Ruzzo and back down to Isola del Gran Sasso (km 100 Mags point). You then pass through Tossicia and Montorio al Vomano. Driving along State Road 80, you arrive at the Deer Inn (Mags point). After passing the village of Ortolano, at km 150 turn left onto the cartroad that leads to the small church of San Vincenzo. Next, cross the Valle del until you reach Fonte Cerreto (Mags point). Going up the state road 17 bis at km 179, turn right in the direction of Campo Imperatore. A path descends to Santo Stefano di Sessanio, then heads toward the Calascio fortress and Castel del Monte (Mags point). It continues until it reaches the Voltigno plateau (Km 227 MAGS point). You pass through Montebello di Bertona and Farindola towards Penne Lake Reserve (Km 248 Mags point).
