A relaxed after-work route with beautiful views and cozy places to stop!
"The horned one of the gravel swings up onto his gravel bike with his hind legs and pedals at hellish speed towards the "devil's water" in the valley end of Saalbach to quench his dry throat before visiting his buddies, the majestic ibexes at the Ossmann Alm. Shortly after, he enjoys the stunning view above Saalbach at Reiterkogel and grins contentedly to himself!" ... thought the eager pedalist as he began to count the beads of sweat on the top tube amidst the climb to the Rosswald hut and heard the crunching of the stones beneath. Gravel-Devil is packed with challenging climbs and beautiful views. The route is actually short yet demanding and a lot of fun... devilishly good!

A stop at the lovely managed alpine huts and a visit to the ibexes on the Wildlife Trail!

Gravel-Devil starts in the center of Saalbach and leads from the beginning on the official promenade towards Hinterglemm. >Follow the official signage to Hinterglemm. In the district of Hinterglemm, you pass through the center and orient yourself towards the valley end. Shortly after the Zwölferkogel parking lot, you cross the bridge at Forellenhof and continue pedaling on the promenade towards Lengau into the valley end. In the area of the Zwölferkogel Nordbahn, you should cross the street once again before taking the wide gravel path towards Lengau. In the district of Lengau, you ride briefly on a street before tackling the gentle climb towards Lindlingalm. After Lindlingalm, turn left towards Saalalm and then take a short single trail uphill to Ossmann Alm and the Wildlife Trail. One of the highest points of the route is reached. Afterwards, you return to Lindlingalm via the gravel road and from there take the same route back to the Wallegg bridge at about 17.5 km. At this bridge, cross the Saalach and ride uphill towards the Hochalm storage pond. After the storage pond, continue towards Rosswald hut and from the hut, ride flat to the Reiterkogel mountain station. Once there, take the forest road to Hinterglemm - not Blue Line or Pro Line - and from Hinterglemm pedal back to Saalbach.
