Devil's route

The bike route takes us from the center of Jesenice through Javorniški Rovt past Pristava to the Križovec saddle beneath the Karavanke ridge and then through Planina pod Golico back to Jesenice. The route is very demanding due to the steep climb in Javorniški Rovt (14%). It is suitable for mountain bikers who are in good physical condition. Caution is advised on the descent from Križovec along a narrow and steep gravel road to Planina pod Golico. The last part of the route is a descent on the paved road from Planina pod Golico to Jesenice.

Points of interest along the way: Javorniški waterfalls, fossil viewing – Lower resting place, Pristava with Zois Park, former mining area of Savske jame, narcissus meadows in May, Plavž Memorial Park, Jesenice Gymnasium, Tone Čufar Square.
