From here, you continue along the stream to Pianezze, with a descent and a footbridge accessible also for people with motor disabilities. The loop then enters the woods towards Vignone, where with a variant it is possible to reach the village of Bureglio and the rock carvings in the Belvedere locality, then reaching the San Martino complex with the large Baroque church, the parish house, the eighteenth-century ossuary, the nineteenth-century Oratory of the Addolorata, and the cemetery.
From San Martino you cross by dirt road the wide forested plateau that leads to the Levamano Chapel, from where you shortly reach the equipped area of the Mills and the center of Arizzano, then descend to Antoliva crossing the characteristic hamlets of Cissano and Cresseglio, to conclude on asphalt road in Cambiasca.
Author’s recommendation
- Of remarkable architectural and devotional interest is the San Martino monumental complex with the large Baroque church, the parish house, the eighteenth-century ossuary, the nineteenth-century Oratory of the Addolorata, and the cemetery.
- In the historic center of the small hamlet of Ramello it is possible to admire a 16th-century fresco depicting the Madonna with Child, then continue by visiting the river park.
- The heart of the Ramello River Park consists of the small building of the washhouse overlooking the Barlett locality, where an open-air river theater, a footbridge that allows crossing the stream and connecting the two banks, and a colossal and evocative natural lime sculpture positioned on a rock, representing the Greek mythological character Thetis, who gives life and balance to the waters of the stream, have been created.
- Inside, arriving at the Pianezze locality car park, it is possible for wheelchair users with motor disabilities to reach the bed of the San Giovanni stream.
