Roadbook
Starting at the Waterworks Park in Chemnitz OT Altchemnitz, you ride along the Zwönitz towards Erfenschlag. There you cross the main road at Gutsberg and ride towards the wading pool Einsiedel. Then you reach the Gymnasium Einsiedel on the main road and turn right onto Kurt-Franke-Straße.
Through the forest, you ride around Einsiedel and near the station cross the main road again onto Berggasse. Then turn right onto Altenhainer Allee. Follow the path to Waldklause and then continue on Schwarzer Weg towards Dittersdorf. You emerge at Dittersdorf station, where you cross the main road and ride onto the forest path behind the station.
Follow this path along the forest path and ride along with the course of the Zwönitz against the flow towards Burkhardtsdorf OT Kemtau. In Kemtau, you reach the station onto the B180, which you follow to Burkhardtsdorf. Tip: Check out the Bulldog Museum or the Printing Museum in Burkhardtsdorf. The outdoor pool provides refreshment.
Then ride on Turnstraße towards Mühlberg, continue on Ahnenweg, the B180, and Wüstenweg towards the district Meinersdorf. You also pass the farm shop of the Rößler-Hof.
In Meinersdorf, turn right onto Meinersdorfer Straße and opposite the Aldi market, turn onto the cycle path towards Thalheim. This leads you parallel to the B180 past the Thalheim sewage treatment plant and the old oil mill "Wiesenmühle." In Thalheim, ride towards the town hall. Tip: You can learn about the local history of the Three-Fir City Thalheim at the House of Local History.
Then ride on Jägerstraße over the railway crossing onto Pionierweg and follow it past Thalheim station to the miniature exhibition "Rentners Ruh." Follow Pionierweg further towards Christelgrund. At the crossroads shortly before, the path turns right, but Christelgrund is a good spot for a break.
Following the path through the forest, you come to Zwönitz in the district Dorfchemnitz, where you follow the path behind the station. Tip: A detour to the local museum "Knochenstampfe" is especially worthwhile for the remarkable special exhibitions.
From Dorfchemnitz, continue parallel to the main road via Hormersdorfer Weg and Schäferberg past fields and meadows to Niederzwönitz. Cross the main road there via the traffic island. Tip: In the Niederzwönitz paper mill, you can make paper yourself by appointment.
Continue behind the paper mill over Zwönitzer Gasse towards Austelvilla. Tip: You can stretch your legs briefly in Austelpark, and the Austelvilla houses the rare collection "Bruno Gebhardt." From there, ride past the town hall over the market on Annaberger Straße towards Geyer, where you pass the adventure pool.
