On March 14, 1995, seven philatelists from Burkhardtsdorf, Kemtau, and Meinersdorf finally met at the Meinersdorf Youth and Community Center to establish a new club. That location remains the club’s headquarters to this day.

Burkhardtsdorf is located between Chemnitz and Annaberg-Buchholz, right off the A72 highway at the Stollberg West exit. Federal Highway B180 leads directly into the town.
