Westensee Tour

The namesake of the Westensee Nature Park is the lake of the same name. With some luck, you can observe sea eagles during your ride around the lake. You start in the municipality of Felde and ride to Achterwehr. On the route to Schönwohld, you can enjoy delightful views of the northern tip of Westensee. Continuing through Hohenhude, you pass a scenic lake area to Wrohe (refreshment option). Well fortified, you reach Westensee (a memorable viewpoint "Tüteberg" accessible on foot) and Groß Vollstedt (refreshment and catering options) on the way to Emkendorf. Tip: A detour to the Emkendorf estate is worthwhile. The path leads back to the starting point along the lake through the nature reserves Methhorst and Rühmlandteich.
