The route takes you from Poysdorf past the Staatz Castle ruins. Regular guided tours of the ruins from May through October introduce you to the region’s history (please book a tour in advance). At the foot of the Staatz Cliff, the finest pralines and confections are produced. If you’re interested in a visit, please let us know. Via Kottingneusiedl, you’ll reach Wildendürnbach with its picturesque“Galgenberg” wine cellar lane. Galgenberg was named “Wine Cellar Lane of the Year 2013.” Running parallel to the Czech border, you’ll reach the small village of Ottenthal, from which it’s not far to the small wine village of Falkenstein. It’s about 17 km from there to Poysdorf.
