The challenging bike route from Krün leads through green meadows to the picturesque Finzbach in the heart of the Estergebirge. The varied route for mountain bikers offers not only indescribable panoramic views but also many cozy places to rest and refresh.
The challenging mountain bike route starts at the parking lot on Krottenkopfstraße in Krün. Follow this street and the signs towards the dried-up riverbed of the Finz. From here, a steadily ascending forest road leads towards Finzalm. At the fork, continue straight towards Esterbergalm. It goes uphill all the way to Farchanter Alm. From there, it’s just a few more minutes' ride to Esterbergalm (1,264 m). The descent down to Partenkirchen is very steep. At the climbing area, keep left, past the Panorama mountain inn and the St. Anton chapel, then take Brunnhäuslweg into Hasentalstraße and on to the Schöne Aussicht inn. The path leads over the “alte Gsteig” to Gschwandtnerbauer, then further on to Kaltenbrunn, and finally back to Krün via the bike path.
