Wide meadows and green forests. Explore the nature around the pilgrimage town Kevelaer. The route takes you along the Niers hiking trail for a while before heading cross-country to Kervenheim. Here, a visit to the castle with its beautiful garden is worthwhile. Then continue through meadows and forests to Winnekendonk. Along the way, you pass several farm shops. Past the small river Fleuth by Winnekendonk, the route continues to Wetten. In Wetten, you pass the small, cozy marketplace and then return to nature.
The return route to Kevelaer leads again through green meadows and wide plains. The destination of the route is Roermonder Platz. Here lies the restaurant Alt Derp, where you can enjoy something delicious to eat and drink and enjoy the view of the lively square as a finale.

From Kapellenplatz, you ride along Amsterdamer Straße. At the end, turn right onto Lindenstraße. You cross Klever Straße (B9) and at the end, turn left onto Rosenbroecksweg. After about 500m, turn right onto the path Am Sankt-Georgsritt. After crossing the Niers, turn left onto Steensweg. Follow this path for about 1.6 km, then turn right onto Wissener Weg. From here, follow the red and white bike route signs through the fields to Kervenheim.
After a visit to Kervenheim Castle, follow the signs of the NiederRheinroute. After 2 km, turn right onto Büssersweg and after 1.8 km, turn left onto Schwarzer Weg. At the next T-junction, turn right onto Hestert. Just behind Bauerncafé Büllhorsthof, a narrow path leads left along the Kirchbruchsley to Wettener Straße. Here, turn left onto Altwettener Weg.
In Wetten, turn right onto the Niers Radwanderweg, which after about 200m continues right onto the NiederRheinroute (North). Follow this route back to Kevelaer. The destination is Roermonder Platz in Kevelaer.

Arrival by train: Kevelaer station is located on the left Lower Rhine line. The "Niers-Express" (RE 10) stops here on its route from Kleve via Krefeld to Düsseldorf every half hour on weekdays and hourly on weekends.
From the station, a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) leads to the city center.

The pilgrimage town Kevelaer is located on the A 57 motorway and is thus easily accessible by car from Cologne/Düsseldorf/Ruhr area and Nijmegen. Leave the A 57 at exit five (Sonsbeck, Xanten, Kevelaer) and follow the signs to Winnekendonk/Kevelaer.Parking
