The tour starts at the car park at Schwansee. From there, follow the path in the direction of Alterschrofen. The route first leads through the Horn district and then along the Forggensee lake. Via Waltenhofen you reach the district of Brunnen - here it is worth taking a break for a swim at the lake in warm weather. The route continues along the Mühlberger Ach on a gravel path. After a short crossing of the main road, the trail continues along the Pöllat. Follow the signs to the Tegelberg cable car, which you will pass on your left. Alternatively, you can take a short detour to the valley station and cycle from there to the Reith-Alpe to enjoy the view of the mountain landscape. You then cycle on to Hohenschwangau, where you pass directly below the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. From there, a tarmac cycle path leads back to the starting point at Schwansee.
