Two steep climbs each make the cycle path somewhat strenuous, but it is still suitable for everyone.

    Author’s recommendation

From Tiefenbach, you should make a detour towards Sargenroth to the Nunkirche (2km).

With a steep climb right at the beginning, it leads from Simmern up to Riesweiler. Along the foot of the Soonwald, it finally reaches Gemünden. The typical Hunsrück landscape at the edge of Soonwald with its many transitions between forest and field inspired the director Edgar Reitz to locate his HEIMAT trilogy here and in the surrounding area. From Gemünden, the path follows the Simmerbach for several kilometers and turns at Panzweiler towards Dickenschied, where it reaches the Lützelsoon cycle path.
