On flat stretches along forests and meadows, farms and farming communities, you will experience a scenically charming route to the south of the castle and Hanseatic town Fürstenau (www.fuerstenau.de), whose historic town center you should definitely get to know. The cycle path leads directly to Hollenstede with the Catholic Church "Maria Rosenkranz". Enjoy the charming surroundings on the further route towards Engelern. You pass the Schlichthorst chapel and continue into the municipality of Merzen (www.merzen.de) until you reach the Samtgemeinde Fürstenau via the cycle path along the federal road Schwagstorf. The Catholic Church "St. Bartholomäus" is now on your route. In the farming community of Kellinghausen, a break in the shelter is worthwhile to enjoy the pleasant surroundings. Until you reach the historic old town of Fürstenau with the historic castle again, an idyllic stretch of path along the mill pond and the Boje mill awaits you.
