A varied route that leads along the Unstrut, through the Wipper breakthrough, and the town of Bad Frankenhausen.
This route connects the Way to the Stone Age (WidS) with the long-distance cycling paths Unstrut Cycle Path and Unstrut-Werra Cycle Path. As a result, it features hardly any inclines. An ideal day trip inviting you to discover the region south of the Kyffhäuser Mountains. Nicely developed cycle paths are traveled here, and one or the other spot invites you to linger.
A scenic highlight is the section through the Wipper breakthrough. But also the open landscapes on the Unstrut-Werra Cycle Path or along the Unstrut soothe the soul of every cyclist.

Even though the paths are well developed, always be aware of root breaks.
Roadbook
From Heldrungen Train Station, the route goes along the Unstrut Cycle Path to Griefstedt. From there, the route follows the WidS to Göllingen and then follows the UWR to the Esperstedt Marsh. From here, the route leaves the UWR and leads straight to Seehausen and from there on to Oldisleben and back to the train station in Heldrungen.
