The start is at the Renchen Town Hall. From the main street heading north, after about 450 m turn right into Kappelstraße and leave Renchen eastwards. After about 1 km you cross the small bridge, behind which a field path branches off to the right. From here continue about 500 m to the next bridge, where the Ansenbach and Dorfbach streams merge. After about 100 m, turn left onto the bike/pedestrian path, about 500 m further go left over the Dorfbach Bridge. A slight ascent leads you to Eckweg, into which you turn right after just under 500 m. The path, with a wonderful view of the Black Forest, gently descends; after about 750 m, turn sharp left and about 300 m further right you will see a biotope, recognizable by many colorful flowers. The path continues slightly uphill; after about 300 m turn sharp right before the large intersection onto the EbenlÄndleweg, which leads you down to the L88. Here after about 1 km, turn left towards Mösbach. Before entering the village, cross the L88 and take the path back to Ulm, past the Kaltmatt Biotope. Then continue on the right path, at the next junction turn left and immediately right downhill towards Ulm. In town, turn left and follow Kaierstraße, past the retention basin to the forest playground at the biotope on Langenbach, where a rest is recommended. Then follow the road up into the forest to the fountain and return through the vineyards with a picturesque view of the Rhine Plain to the forest playground. From there continue down along the edge of the forest to Weingartenstraße. At the Weingartenstraße / Lenzgasse intersection turn left and 200 m further turn left again to Rothof with its wet meadows. In front of Rothof follow the field path uphill on the right, turn left onto Reiersbacher Straße and after 100 m right. The street leads you along Reiersbach directly to the large retention basin. From here continue to the main street, straight ahead and at the hall turn left out of Ulm. At K5305 turn right, cross the Ansenbach and take the second exit at the roundabout towards Erlach. Before entering the village is the biotope at the cemetery. Soon you reach the Erlach town hall, in front of which a path leads left to the renaturation area of the Rench. Go back to the main street, before the bridge turn right, continue on the Rench embankment to the regulation weir, turn left there, along the embankment, past Dyker, into the Renchen forest with the forest watering and past the sports field. Then right into Carl-Benz-Straße and further to the Winery Siegbert Bimmerle, where you turn left. Before the Rench bridge, you see the Hennenteich. After a short detour there, continue into the Teichmatt, over the small Rench bridge by the swimming pool, past the tennis court to the old mill. About 400 m further, cross Badstraße to the main street, turn left and after the Rench bridge turn right into Ziegelstraße. The next left to Vogesenstraße and on the left side through the underpass, after which turn sharp left to the biotope. Follow the field path about 350 m, turn right, past the wet meadows by the forest to the fork after about 850 m. About 500 m further on, go straight ahead, turn left by the small bridge, along the Hurstgraben to the street and there after about 200 m left to the next biotope. From there go straight ahead across the A5 motorway and right into the forest. The path along the forest leads past Försteleck and the Kleeplatz, where there are more biotopes. Here turn right back across the A5, after the overpass right, at the Hurstgraben bridge left, past the wet meadows, left through the Gewann Seematt, immediately right again, at the barn left to the Rench bridge. After the bridge, follow the path along the Rench to the ice pond. Then through the railway underpass. On the other side, turn sharp left and take the small path along Plauelbach. Keep right along the stream to Mühlbach. Further ahead, go left and immediately right again to the main street, turn left into it. Shortly after, you reach the Renchen Town Hall, your start and finish point.
