Start: TransVelo, Poststraße 3, Tübingen

Stage 1: Km 0 – 13: Tübingen – Rottenburg

• The route starts at TransVelo on Poststraße. The Tübingen town hall is currently nearby. Head towards the station and at the intersection turn left through the underpass. Left over the bridge and then right, along Fürststraße beside the Steinlach. At the Heinlenstraße intersection, turn right across the Steinlach and continue straight to Primus-Truber-Straße. Turn left there and after the bus stop turn right into Lembergstraße. At the Sieben-Höfe-Straße intersection turn left into Jurastraße. Pass Derendingen station to Paul-Dietz-Straße. Turn right and follow the street, passing the zero-energy house.

• At the Raichbergstraße intersection turn right onto the pedestrian/bike path. After the bridge over the Mühlbach, turn right again and follow the path over the bridge. At the end of the bike path, bear half left and continue straight on Weinbergstraße. At the next intersection continue straight, but switch to the sidewalk on the right. Pass the cemetery to the pedestrian crossing and cross it

and continue straight on the farm road towards Weilheim/Rottenburg a. N.

• In Weilheim, first right, then left onto Wilonstraße. After the bus stop, turn right into Paul-Schneider-Straße and continue through Kilchberg, Bühl and Kiebingen following the signs

to Rottenburg a. N. (approx. 7 km). Before Rottenburg a. N., a short detour to the left to the University of Forestry at Schadenweilerhof is worthwhile to visit the small wind turbine.

• Back on the route before Rottenburg a. N. use the traffic lights to cross the state road and turn left onto the footpath along Tübinger Straße. Be careful at the narrow railway embankment underpass! At the pedestrian crossing turn right to the "Tübinger Straße" power station. Then turn left along the Neckar. At the playground turn left and continue straight into Steggasse. Turn right at Bahnhofstraße and continue over the Josef-Eberle-Brücke to Rottenburg town hall.

Stage 2: Km 13 – 32: Rottenburg – Eckenweiler

• At Rottenburg marketplace turn left onto Königstraße and follow the Hohenzollern and Neckar valley cycle paths towards Hechingen/Horb. At the intersection with Hammerwasen street, the long-distance cycle routes turn right. To the left leads to the Hammerwasen outdoor pool. The route continues right and reaches the Bronnmühle, which invites for a stop. Then follow the cycle path to the junction at Bad Niedernau station. There turn left over the tracks and follow the Hohenzollern cycle path to the Stengle power plant at the town entrance.

• Back to the junction at the station, turn left onto the Neckar valley cycle path towards Horb through Obernau, Bieringen to Sulzau (about 6.5 km).

• The Starzach town hall is located to the left on the hill in Bierlingen.

• In Sulzau, at the height of the Neckar bridge, turn right. Follow the farm road half left, steadily uphill. At the top, straight ahead is Weitenburg Castle, which invites for refreshment and rewards with a wonderful view. Turn right onto the paved access road to the district road. Continue about 1 km straight on this towards Eckenweiler. Then turn right onto the paved farm road. Follow this road about 750 m straight, then left and at the next intersection turn right again.

• At the next intersection, turn left and follow the road into the village.

Stage 3: Km 32 – 52: Eckenweiler – Entringen

• At the junction by the church, take the detour to the 12th wind turbine near Eckenweiler. First turn left into Weitinger Straße, at the village exit turn right and cross the district road at the water tower straight ahead. Follow the agricultural road to the wind turbine. Return the same way to the church, turn left there and follow Böblingerstraße. At the orchard meadows, turn right into the village again, then left and continue downhill on Seerosenstraße. At the end of the street switch to the pedestrian/bike path, then turn right and follow the path along the edge of the forest.

• At the forest parking lot, turn left, then follow the bike path along the district road to the right. At the second intersection, turn right towards Rottenburg a. N. (to the left is the access to Liebfrauenhöhe) towards Wolfenhausen.

• In Wolfenhausen continue straight on Ergenzinger Straße to the district road. Turn left there and continue to the playground. Turn right here onto Schulstraße and leave the village straight ahead on it.

• At the power pole, after the second farm, turn left, then immediately right again and follow the road through the underpass. After a short ascent, turn left and follow the farm road down to the district road. Turn right there and take the bike path to Seebronn.

• At the village entrance continue following the signs. Turn left onto Eisentalstraße and continue to Hindenburgstraße. There turn right onto the pedestrian/bike path to the crossing aid. At the information board keep left and continue to the cemetery. Turn right there and follow the road

straight towards Oberndorf.

• A few meters before the entrance to Oberndorf is the "sonne die feurige gastronomie" on the left, ideal for a break.

• The route continues straight over the district road into Oberndorf on Rottenburger Straße. At Feuersee keep left and follow Pfaffenbergerstraße uphill.

• Cross Schönbuchstraße half left onto Jauenweg.

• At the farm halfway right and continue straight ahead on the farm road. After about 700 m turn left to the district road. Turn right there and after about 200 m turn left onto the farm road. Follow this path half right downhill.

• Keep right on the district road and after 200 m turn left onto the farm road. At the next fork turn right downhill. At the end of the slope keep left until you reach the junction with the district road. Turn right there and continue towards Reusten. At the junction with Rottenburger Straße turn left. After crossing the Ammer, go uphill briefly to Altinger Straße. Turn left there and follow the road to the Eugen Schill grain mill.

• Then return over the Ammer to Jesinger Straße and slightly uphill to the junction at the bus stop. There turn left into Schulsteige and continue uphill. Shortly before leaving the village, bear half left onto the farm road and follow this towards Entringen. At the end of the path, cross the district road by turning right, then continue half left along the farm road.

• Shortly before Entringen, Lindenhof is reached on the left.

• Then continue towards Entringen, keep right at the tracks, cross the railway crossing and continue to Zeppelinstraße. Turn left there and the next turn right. At B 28 (the Ammerbuch town hall is not far from here), turn left and after 100 m turn right into Obere Straße.

Stage 4: Km 52 – 65: Entringen – Tübingen

• Ride steadily uphill towards Tübingen. At the sports fields, turn right and follow the Hohenzollern cycle path to Hohenentringen Castle. On the way there, the route passes the Schönbuch memorial forest. After stopping for refreshments at the castle with a fantastic view, stay on the main path and follow the signs left towards Hagelloch.

• In Hagelloch, follow the road downhill. At the church, go straight into Obere Gasse and continue downhill on Friedensweg. At the intersection in the hollow, keep right and continue downhill towards Tübingen. Pass under the B28 and continue toward the city center. At Haagtor, turn right through the bike tunnel and over the Neckar, then turn left and follow Uhlandstraße to the end. Turn right to return to the start of the route, which ends at the Neckarmüller brewpub.
