On this cycling route with some climbs and descents around Egglham, we can expect magnificent views and insights into the diversely structured landscape.
Over more than 26 kilometers, we make an extensive cycling route around Egglham. Thanks to some climbs, we will be quite challenged here.
Our starting point is in Egglham. We first cycle north along the Aldersbach to Gopping, then continue through the valley to Reschdobl. The farmers' memorial in Reschdobl is just a few meters from the route. This memorial commemorates the massacre of the farmers' battle in 1706, where about 4,000 farmers and craftsmen fell.
Magnificent views can be enjoyed repeatedly on the further route before we reach Amsham. The outdoor pool offers a wonderful refreshment during the summer months and, of course, you can also refresh yourself there for the continuation of the ride.
Outstanding views to the Bavarian Forest are then offered at the end of the route near Schacha. The return from up there is easy, and the descent offers an unhindered dreamlike view of the surroundings.

Over more than 26 kilometers, we make an extensive cycling route around Egglham. Thanks to some climbs, we are also quite challenged physically. We can expect magnificent views and insights into the diversely structured landscape of Egglham. Our starting point is at the information board in Egglham. We first cycle through the town center heading north and turn left before the sports field, then keep right again. We cycle past Moosmühle parallel to the Aldersbach to Gopping, which we pass through heading east. We ascend to Reschdobl, where we leave the bikes and can make a steep detour up to the memorial.
We then continue straight uphill to Thal, where we turn right. We cross the district road and reach the edge of the forest with magnificent views to Oberthambach, where we turn right at the chapel. We cycle downhill through the Thambach forest to Schott and pass the beautiful farmsteads in Matzöd and Herrndobl before turning right towards Mühlberg in Hofreuth. The idyllic valley lying Amsham is now our next destination. After the already considerable number of altitude meters on our route, it is recommended to refresh in the local outdoor pool and strengthen yourself for the continuation of the ride. Then we pass through the town of Amsham, cross the district road, and reach Afham, where we turn left uphill to Stelzberg. South of Stelzberg we turn right at the cross road. Passing Stockland and Tölzenöd, we then cycle over Wolfschießen, Tabor, and Schacha downhill to Hoibach and Hengsberg, where the path merges into a state road. Here we turn left and ride about 400 meters along the road, then follow the scenic and sporty path up to the right to Wampendobl and Hausschwendt. After Hausschwendt, we enter the Dobler forest, which we leave behind Edmann towards Brand again. From here it goes fast downhill back to Egglham to our starting point.
