The route through the Konstanzer Tal is quite short and without particular difficulties. Especially the section along the Konstanzer Ach is picturesque. Apart from two climbs shortly before Hinterstaufen and on the way back between Wengen and Oberstaufen, this tour does not have any major elevation changes.
At the station, we follow the sign to Bad Rain and ride down the road to Bad Rain. Shortly afterwards, a short climb leads up to Hinterstaufen. Along the railway line, it goes to the roundabout at the Hündlebahn. Directly at the parking lot entrance, turn left onto the path that runs along the babbling Konstanzer Ach to Thalkirchdorf. From there, past the church and through the district Osterdorf to Konstanzer. Cross the underpass and the railway line. Through the districts Wiedemannsdorf, Lamprechts, Salmas, and Knechtenhofen on the old salt road back towards Oberstaufen. A final climb is to be mastered in Wengen, then we coast the last meters back to the starting point. If desired, there are several opportunities for a stop along the way.
Author’s recommendation
There is an option for a stop at Bad Rain, in the inns in the Konstanzer Tal as well as at the Hündle.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
