Longer cycle tour in the Eferding basin with a short ascent to the summit. Partly a circular tour, partly on the R18 and R17 cycle paths. Two quarry ponds are a nice photo motif on this tour.

HOW TO GET THERE: From the parking lot uphill via Edramsberg, then gravel road and up to the goods road (~350m). Turn right briefly, then immediately left through Reith, over Limberg and right through "Himmelreich". At the goods road, keep right over a bridge, slightly uphill, then turn left (bus stop, path) and through the Langsiedlung. Through the railroad, right, left and past the Lidl supermarket to the traffic circle. Straight over it, soon turn right onto a goods road. We pass Annaberg and reach Hartheim, where we keep slightly to the right and ride through a gate to Hartheim Castle. You can visit the memorial.

A little through the park, on the gravel path to the south (left) and to the asphalt road. Now follow the road to the right, in Weidach (268 m) turn right, left and right to the Astner gravel pit. Beautiful view of the quarry pond. Through the horse farm and back to the road. Keep left and turn right in Oberhartheim. The short unpaved stretches are easy to ride on. Before Emling, turn left again briefly onto a gravel road and continue right along the R18 through the huge gravel pit and to the railroad. Now left along the road to Fraham on the R17, turn right at the end of the village and continue to Simbach (apricot area). Continue to Hörstorf and follow the road to the B134 for about 600 m on the right. At Lahöfen turn left and uphill to Oberrudling (296 m), left to the LILO Kirnberg stop (350 m) and over the railroad. Uphill, keep right and then turn right off the narrow asphalt road onto the forest path. At 385 m at the beginning of the forest, cycle depot. Continue on foot along the Ziehweg for a short distance in the forest, up next to the fence in a clockwise direction and to the Kirnberg 435 m with hunting stand. ~27.7 km; 275 m elevation gain and 1 3/4 hours.

DEPARTURE: Back to the bike, turn right just before the railroad crossing. It goes up a little (~370 m), beautiful view of the Kirnberg and then descend comfortably to Untergallsbach by 300 m. Turn left and follow the road past the lime kilns to the B134. Follow to the left and soon turn right to Hörsdorf, we are on the familiar route from the approach. Back on the R17 to Fraham and at the railroad on the R18 through the gravel pits. We turn off to Emling, continue straight ahead and turn right before the B129. We reach the familiar route and after the horse farm in Weidling keep left to Hartheim. There we come back onto the R18 Landlweg. Follow this via Bergham to the access road to the power station, turn right and we are right at the UNI market. 35 meters, almost 2 hours and

In total: 310 m elevation gain, almost 52 km and >3 1/2 hours riding time.
