The Große Elbseerunde is usually a very quiet cycling route and offers some very beautiful mountain views. Especially very exposed spots such as just before Geisenried, halfway between Unterthingau and Reinhardsried, or the rest area including the Alpine panorama sign shortly before Görwangs are ideal locations for a break. A beautiful viewpoint is also offered on the height east of the Elbsee. In general, a rest at the Elbsee is worthwhile, which can be combined with visiting some sites of the "Moor Experience Area Elbsee".
The moor experience guide Christine Schwarz offers tours on the subject of moors at the Elbsee.
