Discover the idyllic route around Lake Greifensee, filled with sights, an adventure farm, and inviting lakeside baths. This route, which can be traveled in both directions, starts at Schwerzenbach train station and mostly follows the bike path and inline skating track around the lake.
After a short section, you will quickly find yourself on the path towards Fällanden. Here, turn left towards Maur and follow the lake on the south side. In good weather, enjoy a magnificent mountain panorama ahead of you, while on the left you will repeatedly find wonderful views of the lake as well as the surrounding fields and flower meadows.
After Maur, continue along the bike path around the lake, where the stork nests at Riedikon are the next highlight. After this stop, you leave the main road, pass Uster, and continue along the lakeshore to Greifensee. Here, the historic little town invites you to take a well-deserved break and sightseeing before you set off on the last section of the route back to Schwerzenbach station.
Please note that the path around Lake Greifensee is very popular on weekends and in good weather with cyclists, hikers, inline skaters, and other users. Mutual consideration is therefore important.
