The Fruit Trail winds through the beautiful orchard-dotted countryside of the Voralpland region, and thanks to its gentle terrain, it’s perfect for a family outing.
Over approximately 52 kilometers, the route winds through open landscapes dotted with fruit trees, which are particularly charming in the spring during bloom and in the fall during harvest. Time and again, beautiful views open up over the surrounding meadows, fields, and wooded hills.
The route runs primarily along well-maintained bike paths, farm roads, and quiet side streets. Along the way, various towns invite you to take short breaks—perhaps to rest on a bench, take a detour into a village, or stop for refreshments at an inn or café.
With moderate climbs and longer flat stretches, the tour is well-suited for active recreational cyclists. The combination of scenery, regional fruit-growing traditions, and a peaceful route makes the Fruit Route a varied day trip for anyone who wants to actively explore the region.

Roadbook
Starting in Kirchheim/Teck, the bike route first passes through the center of Kirchheim and then heads toward Schlierbach, away from the B297. Stretching across the foothills of the Alps, the bike route runs from Hattenhofen through Bad Boll to Dürnau and Gammelshausen. Continuing eastward, it passes through the towns of Eschenbach and Schlat before finally descending into the Fil Valley to the town of Süßen. The route has recently been extended and now also passes through the orchard-dotted countryside around Salach and Eislingen. Finally, the route reaches the center of Göppingen, which offers many places to stop for refreshments as well as connections to the Filstal Takt regional transit system.
