From Tulln, we head to the final destination of our cycling route: Vienna. At the Tulln harbor, the houses built on stilts are interesting, as this construction method protects them from possible floods. Later, we can make a detour to the Greifenstein power plant, which is passed by many international ships: from Rotterdam to the Black Sea, one is on the way for about a month. Klosterneuburg is shaped by the medieval monastery, which can only be visited with a guided tour. The closer we get to Vienna, the narrower our cycle path becomes and the more traffic we encounter. We ride along the riverbank and reach the old town via the Ring Road. The Ring Road was built as Vienna's grand boulevard in place of the old city wall and continuously provides cycle paths. The main sights in Vienna can be conveniently reached by bike; however, at least one extra day should be reserved for this.To get an impression of what awaits us in Vienna, here is a "small" list: the Burgtheater; the Hofburg, from which the Habsburg monarchy ruled for over 700 years; Vienna’s largest exhibition house: the Albertina; the Kunsthistorisches Museum; the Vienna State Opera with more than 60 operas and ballets on 300 days each year; the Kunsthaus Wien with a retrospective of the painter Hundertwasser; the Hundertwasser House; Vienna’s amusement district “Prater” and of course the “Sissi Palace” Schönbrunn, Vienna’s most popular attraction.

We cycle along the riverbank from Tulln, continuing to Langenlebarn and Muckendorf. After a while, upon reaching the Greifenstein power plant, we keep right and cross the bridge to Greifenstein. First, we ride along the riverbank and then follow the railway tracks to Klosterneuburg. To the left of the train station, we cross a bridge, pass the leisure center “Happyland,” and continue cycling on the Strandbad and Donau streets (on the left) toward Vienna on the road between the Danube and the railway line. We pass several bridges until we reach the urban area. At the Augarten Bridge, we cycle up to Franz-Josefs-Kai, cross the quay, and cycle a short distance on the other side to Schottenring. The Ring leads us into the city center.
