Fish Sandwich Route

From Ludwigshafen, cross the old motorway bridge to the "other side." Pushing help is advantageous! In Käfertaler Forest, turn left at Karlstern - not signposted - after 100m a small lake is on the right. Attention: All other paths are signposted to Lampertheim, but that can't be right. We always follow the "blue dot." In Lorsch, we arrive at the town hall, next to it the fish counter. Then continue via Bürstadt - it’s easy to get lost there - and the Rhine bridge to Worms. Under the bridge lies the Rhine water quality station. Oxygen, pollutants, flow... are measured. Next to it, for refreshment or reward, go to the beer garden. On the way back to Ludwigshafen, you always follow the dike. A gravel lake is forming on the way.
