We start the beautiful route through the Alpine foothills through the north gate of the site, cross the dam, turn sharply left and after 50 m right towards Illach. We ride past the Illach inn and the old power plant and struggle up the short steep climb to Jagdberg. After 200 m we turn left and arrive at Maderbichl. There we turn right and cross the Illach bridge to Steingaden. On the B17 we turn right and after 700 m left onto the market square. A visit to the monastery church and the monastery garden is worthwhile here. Through the gate arch we follow the path towards Litzau and Wies Church. Now, after a steep climb, we pass a small lake and after another dip reach the hamlet Litzau at km 8, and now follow the initially paved road onto an unpaved path through the forest to the connecting road to Wies, which we cross at km 9.5. On the right you can already see the Wies Church in its idyllic spot in front of the Trauchgau mountains. We leave the regional adult education center to the left and at the next farms turn right over the little bridge and follow the path towards Wies Church, which we reach at km 11.5. After an extensive visit of this rococo jewel, you can either stop for refreshment right next to the church at the Schweiger inn or at the car park at the Moser inn. We then leave Wies towards Prem/Halblech and at the junction in the woodland at km 12.6 continue straight past Resle and reach the Königsstraße at km 14.5, which is also the Prälatenweg and the Lake Constance-Königsee cycle path. At km 16 we go straight towards Prem/Halblech and reach Unterreithen, where there is an opportunity for a break at the Sera inn. At km 18 we turn right within the town, pass under the B17 underpass, continuing towards Lechbruck/Prem. At km 18.2 underpass B17 towards Lechbruck/Prem. We then follow the hilly terrain through Hachegg towards Moosreiten, turn left there and after only 50 m follow the road sharply to the right towards Prem. On the left appears Kaltenbrunner See, we reach Prem at km 23. Shortly after the town sign we turn left downwards and then immediately left into Mühlfeldweg and after 150 m right into Eschenweg. At the end of the path we turn left onto Füssener Straße and follow it out of town. Shortly before the sawmill, take the small bridge right and then back left over the Premer dam. To the south a wonderful view presents itself over the reservoir lake towards the mountains. At the end of the dam at km 25 in Helmenstein we ride back left side of the Lech to Lechbruck. At km 27.5 we reach the Lech bridge. There we cross the street and ride right onto the Lech riverside path along the Lech, past the ice stadium and sports ground until we cross a footbridge back onto the Via Claudia. The last kilometer to the campsite goes like clockwork. We reach the starting point after 31 km.
