Drava cycle path detour: Weissensee Experience

The Sachsenburg market presents itself as a natural idyll and a place of serene calm. Here your circular route begins heading west, where the small town of Spittal an der Drau welcomes you with its Porcia Castle. The castle houses the Museum of Folk Culture. Then you continue south to the untouched nature of Lake Weissensee. Here you have to exchange your bicycle for a seat on the boat and cover part of the distance on the water. If you are already at Lake Weissensee, you can also enjoy the great view from above by taking a ride on the Weissensee mountain railway. From Lake Weissensee you head north again, into the Upper Drava Valley, to the town of Greifenburg. From here you follow the Drava cycle path back to your starting point in Sachsenburg, where you can indulge yourself gastronomically with the chairman of the Drava cycle path hosts, Ferdinand Penker, at the inn Zum Goldenen Rössl.
