    Author’s recommendation

The Benát hill is one of the most beautiful and most visited volcanic landmarks of Pohronský Inovec. From the rocky summit, you can enjoy some of the most impressive views in the region. Before you opens a panorama of upper Požitavie, the Topoľčianky castle, the castles of Jelenec and Hrušov, as well as the entire Tribeč mountain ridge.

The route contains longer climbs, forest sections, and slightly more technical passages – it is suitable only for cyclists with experience. After rain, some forest sections may be muddy.

    Tips and suggestions

If you want to make your trip more enjoyable, there are several refreshment options along the route. We also recommend visiting Topoľčianky Castle or the National Stud Farm. After cycling tourism, you will definitely appreciate the opportunity to purchase wine from local wineries.

    Roadbook

The route starts in the center of Topoľčianky and continues around the local stadium on asphalt roads to the village of Obyce. It is an initial easy section where you can warm up well before the next climb.

From the village of Obyce, you then connect to the Požitavská cycle highway, along which you continue to the Obyce – Modoš crossroads. Here, the route diverges and continues towards the Jaďová crossroads. Views of the surrounding countryside and forest environment gradually increase.

After passing through the Záhradská valley, the route continues to the place Škripce above the small castle, where it connects to the red and green cycling routes. Here follows a more technical section on a forest road and a turn off towards Benát – the highest point of the route with the possibility of rest and pleasant views.

From Benát, the route continues along the red and then green cycling routes towards the hunting lodge Hájovňa. Then the road continues to Machulince along the St. James Road and subsequently back to Topoľčianky.
