Cycle tour around the border triangle

You start at the Schwansee parking lot and follow the cycle path in the direction of Hohenschwangau. From there, the route leads up a first short ascent to the Alpsee. The route then continues gently up and down along the car-free Fürstenstraße. Passing the Pindarplatz viewpoint, with a beautiful view over the Alpsee, you reach the border crossing to Pinswang in Tyrol. From there, you cycle downhill on a forest path to Gasthof Schluxen.

Through the municipality of Pinswang you reach the underpass of the L396 country road. The path now meanders through the charming Lech floodplains to the forest adventure center - well worth a visit here. You then continue on the cycle path towards Füssen. You cross the Lech over the Theresienbrücke bridge to the other side of the river. Here you can take a detour to the old town of Füssen. Alternatively, keep right immediately after the bridge and follow the cycle path along the Lech to the cycle bridge.

After crossing the river again, follow the cycle path through the underpass and continue along the Kienberg to Alterschrofen. From there you return to the starting point at Schwansee.
