    Safety information

    • Plan sufficient breaks on longer stages and use your energy sparingly.
    • Please wear appropriate hiking boots that also provide sufficient grip on uneven and steep or rocky paths.
    • Particularly in autumn, be aware that fallen leaves on the ground can conceal possible unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path.

    Roadbook

First, we travel west to the main road. We turn right and after a few hundred meters switch to the wide pedestrian and bike path on the left side of the road. From now on, it’s almost impossible to miss the path until Forsting - the route always follows this pedestrian and bike path. In Forsting, the path continues on the left side of the federal road to the Gut Forsting Brewery (the path is narrower here, you may need to dismount). Right at the brewery, turn left into Springlbacher Street and continue to the village of the same name. Then left and continue to Untermoos. At the end of the paved road, turn right into Filze. Continue straight to the model airfield. Turn right here. At the only house around, turn left. After two 90-degree turns, the road runs straight east to "Filzen." Here, the path curves widely south. It continues a bit hillier again over Neuhäusl (then keep right) and Perach to Oberndorf. Turn left and immediately right to Rettenbach. In Rettenbach, take the first fork left and immediately right again. It goes past the church and over the Attel river to Rattenbach (yes; it changes from Retten- to Rattenbach). Now sharply left, up the hill and on to Grafa. Left again, past boxwood to the district road to Oberöd. Turn left onto the district road and follow it back to Pfaffing - there is almost always a pedestrian and bike path.
