The cycling and hiking trail connects about 35 km of nine highly interesting archaeological sites that testify to the magnificent Celtic past of the region.
At each excavation site, a signboard provides detailed information about the respective exciting find. An absolute highlight is the Celtic Museum in Hochdorf with a reconstructed Celtic village and a faithful replica of the burial chamber.
The Celtic trail runs mostly on paved and gravel paths. The route passes Asperg, Möglingen, Schwiebderdingen, Markgröningen, Hochdorf, Hemmingen, Schöckingen, and Hirschlanden to Ditzingen or vice versa. The S-Bahn stations in Asperg and Ditzingen are ideal for arrival.
