Castle Cycle Path 6 - Audio Route

Follow the red cycle path signage with number 6 and the castle logo. The starting point of the bike tour is the sports field in Bohlingen. From there, head to Bohlingen Castle and behind the town hall to Burghalde. Back on the village street, turn left into Fabrikstraße and then into Ziegelhüttenweg. Continue left at the wayside cross into Moosfeld towards the forest edge to Moos and in the direction of the beach. On this cycle path, continue past the beach until Iznang at kilometer 19.4. Always staying near the Untersee, we pass Gundholzen at kilometer 22.0 and soon arrive at Horn to the fortified church, later descending towards the lake to the small castle Hornstaad. Then go a little uphill and then turn left towards Gaienhofen. At the edge of the village, in front of the church on the left side, we come down to Gaienhofen Castle. At the village exit at the cross starts the cycle path to Wangen.

From here, it goes partly on the road, but mostly on cycle paths over Hemmenhofen and Marbach to Wangen. In the middle of the village, turn right to the church with the knight's grave. Shortly after Wangen, the cycle path turns left. At the height, turn left to Kattenhorn, down Castle Street to the chapel with castle. On the cycle path along the lake, it continues to Öhningen. At Oberstaad Castle, turn right uphill to Öhningen. Cross the main road, go uphill and turn left into Kirchbergstraße. Then continue right into Poststraße to the monastery and monastery church on the left side. After the visit, continue downhill and at Stiegen rejoin the cycle path to Stein am Rhein. After a short ride, the cycle path merges onto the main road and continues into the historic old town of Stein am Rhein. Through the city gate, continue towards Hemishofen and Ramsen. There, cross the railway line towards Wiesholz and past Hittisheim back to Bohlingen to the parking lot at the sports field.
