On a marked route of about 18 kilometers in length, architecture enthusiasts can reach all Bauhaus buildings in Dessau and at the same time get to know the city in its different facets.
The Bauhaus Buildings cycling route is divided into a northern and a southern round, both starting at the main station.
The northern round is 7 kilometers long and leads to the Kornhaus, the Masters’ Houses, and the Bauhaus building. The 11.5-kilometer southern round passes the historic employment office, the Laubengang houses, the Konsum building, and the Törten settlement.

Main station Dessau – via Bitterfelder Straße to the UCI cinema – here left over the station bridge – right at Parkstraße – straight ahead to the zoo – through the red and white arch to Georgenallee – along Georgenallee to Elbpavillon – here right and immediately left along the dike to Kornhaus – on Elballee south – left at Ebertallee – Masters’ Houses – roundabout “Seven Columns” second exit – Gropiusallee to Bauhausplatz – left to the Bauhaus building – Bauhausstraße to Seminarplatz – cross Seminarplatz and via Kleiststraße to Puschkinallee – turn right towards Antoinettenstraße / station bridge until the Bitterfelder Straße intersection – right to the main station or straight ahead along Antoinettenstraße to the south route

South route (11.5 km)
Main station Dessau – via Bitterfelder Straße to Antoinettenstraße – cross Friedrichstraße at the end of Antoinettenstraße, left after the tram tracks – right at Bauhaus Museum Dessau onto Kavalierstraße – at the Museum intersection (large square to the right) turn right into Askanische Straße – at the next junction cross Willy-Lohmann-Straße and immediately turn left to August-Bebel-Platz / historic employment office – along Mauerstraße to Friedhofstraße – left to Franzstraße – here right southwards along Heidestraße – cross at the DVG Heidestraße tram stop (traffic light) – continue south to Peterholzstraße – left to the Laubengang houses – left into the street “In der Flanke” – right into Damaschkestraße – past the Konsum building to Mittelring – left to Moses Mendelssohn Center – left into the cross path – right over Kleinring and Doppelreihe to Südstraße – right to Stahlhaus – continue on Südstraße to the pedestrian traffic light Helmut-Kohl-Straße – along Helmut-Kohl-Straße and Mulde to the height of Tiergarten bridge (arch bridge) – here left across the federal road and Lustgarten to the city center – right at Marienkirche – left into Ratsgasse at the height of the town hall – past the main post office to Antoinettenstraße – right to Bitterfelder Straße (UCI cinema) – left to the main station or straight ahead to the north route.
The south route is signposted only in the described direction.
