Baroque Tour

Start in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Enzpavilion in Bürgergarten – upstream along Enztalweg to Bissingen – stay on Flößerstraße and follow Flößerweg towards Sägmühle.

Behind Sägmühle continue along the Enz to the mouth of Leudelsbach (barbecue area) – now left into the Leudelsbachtal – cross the road between Tamm and Markgröningen at the Naturfreundehaus Markgröningen parking lot and continue along Leudelsbachtal – just before the Markgröningen - Asperg road turn left and follow this short stretch – through the clinic grounds past the brown water tower to the hill and to Hohenasperg – shortly after crossing the road between Tamm and Asperg turn left into Bergweg (straight ahead is the ascent to Hohenasperg) and along the hill to Asperg – before the station, cross the railway line and immediately turn left towards the outdoor pool – under the motorway and over the B27 to Monrepos Palace – pass left by the lake, turn right and pass by Monrepos Palace on Seeschlossallee to Favoritepark in Ludwigsburg (opportunity for a detour to Ludwigsburg with a visit to the Ludwigsburg Baroque Palace) – after the railway underpass, sharp left (footpath to animal shelter), along the Favoritepark and follow directions to Heilbad Hoheneck into the Neckar valley – in Hoheneck turn left along the Neckar riverbank and continue on the cycle path – from now on take the Neckar valley cycle path to Großingersheim – in Großingersheim turn left onto the road towards Bietigheim-Bissingen and after approx. 50 m turn left into Kirchgasse – through the village and Bietigheim forest follow the signposted Stromberg-Enztal cycle path back to the starting point in Bietigheim.
