Ferienregion Nördlicher Bodensee Tourist-Information Pfullendorf
Easy circular bike route, passing the boundary stone museum, to the Bannwald tower and back to Ostrach.
The route starts at the Narrenbrunnen in Ostrach. Via an idyllic bike path marked with O7, you reach Burgweiler via Kalkreute. Attention when crossing at the train station, there is occasional train traffic! In Burgweiler, head from the town hall towards the playground at the former castle. A visit to the nearby boundary stone museum is recommended to marvel at the scale-accurate boundary lines of the former Kingdom of Württemberg, Grand Duchy of Baden, and Principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen within the municipality of Ostrach. Continuing on the O7, you pass through the Bannwald of the Pfrunger-Burgweiler Ried nature reserve to the Bannwald tower, which is definitely worth an "outlook". Then follow the route along the river Ostrach until you finally return to the Narrenbrunnen.
