Around Lake Ossiach

A route that is especially scenic. You follow the cycle path from Velden to Lind ob Velden, to Föderlach, and then along the Drau cycle path towards Villach. At the new Villach Drau bridge (noticeable for its red color ...) you take the cycle path towards Lake Ossiach. After a few kilometers you reach Ossiach, where you should definitely visit the abbey and the church. Then continue eastwards to Steindorf and then via Bodensdorf, Sattendorf, and Annenheim to St. Andrä to the Landskron ruin. The route back to Velden runs again along the Drau.

Alternatively, from the junction at the Villach Drau bridge, instead of going to Lake Ossiach, you can continue directly to Villach. From the junction it is about 3 km to the center. After a stroll through the town, cafes or inns invite you to refresh yourself.
