The route leads from the station upwards to Hegnenberg. The cherry orchards there are not only a popular destination during the tree blossom season; the view from there is also remarkable. From there, it continues through the Raschbach valley, under a motorway viaduct to Unterrieden and further to Hagenhausen. The local church houses a Pietà from the 15th century and a Madonna with Child over 500 years old.
Shortly thereafter, the route reaches Rasch, one of the oldest settlements in the Altdorf area with a noteworthy church ensemble. People have lived here since 2500 BC. This is evidenced, among other things, by a heavy stone axe found here, which is now on display at the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg. Heading west along the Schwarzach, past the Prethalmühle dating from 1643, the route goes to Grünberg. A short break is recommended here to see the castle-like palace.
Afterwards, the path leads through the fields to Röthenbach. Nearby are the source of the Röthenbach and the Röthenbach Gorge, designated as a natural monument. Following the signage, the route ends again at the S-Bahn station in Altdorf.
