From the town hall square in Talheim, we ride past the Four Seasons Fountain and cross the street at the pedestrian traffic light. Now we follow the Schozachtal cycle path towards Ilsfeld up to the parking lot at Tauchsteinsee.
Here we turn left into the street In den Forstwiesen and after about 300 m turn right into Im Jungholz. Past the former Schübel winery, straight up the hill. Outside the village take the first left turn, past the field barn and shortly afterwards turn right.
Now we follow the vineyard path eastwards to the Hohrainhof. Up here we deserve a break and can enjoy the view northeast to the Schweinsbergturm. Then we descend down to the district road towards Untergruppenbach, which we cross. Shortly uphill to the upper Steinbiegelweg, which we follow to the left to the field cross on the plain.
There turn right and continue straight to the Trollinger Marathon path south of Haigern. Then a short left and immediately right again up at the edge of the forest. Past the barbecue area on the right up to the Kurz-Wagner winery with vineyard educational trail. South of the winery past to the street. Here turn right up and after about 100 m turn left into the vineyard path.
Now take the first path on the right and ride north below the Haigern. At the end of the path, we have reached the highlight of our cycling route with a wonderful panoramic view – Odenwald with Katzenbuckel to the north, Heuchelberg to the west, the Talheim industrial area on our left and the city of Heilbronn directly in front of us.

Our path now leads us zigzagging left down to an asphalt path in the Gewann Bies. Now steeply down the hill to the right and take the first opportunity to the right. We now ride a somewhat rougher gravel path and later on Talheimer street through Flein straight ahead to the roundabout. This is crossed.
We turn the third street to the left (Sontheimer street). Straight ahead the path leads us to the Hüttenäcker farms. Before the barn with a large photovoltaic system on the roof we turn half left and ride to the old B27. We follow the old B27 to the right and about 100 m further again left and continue to the bridge crossing the new B27. After the bridge left to the next intersection.
There we turn right until we reach the Schozachtal cycle path after 300 m. On the cycle path we ride left along the Schozach uphill, past the quarry and crossing the B27, back to the starting point in Talheim.
