Discover the Hieve, the Loppersumer Meer, and the largest inland lake in East Frisia, the Große Meer, on an idyllic route through the nature reserve with unique views of nature.
The signposted 3-Seas-Route starts at the Haus am Meer. There you will also find the Tourist Info with an event room, a kiosk with bistro, a small sauna, the paddle and pedal station, motorhome harbor, and campsite. Special concerts and festivals are offered at the Haus am Meer. At the paddle and pedal station, you can rent a bicycle or e-bike. Along the exciting route, signs with a route map describe the paths that form a varied circular course between fields, meadows, and seas. There are a total of 21 nature stations along the entire route with numerous information platforms explaining the animal and plant world. At two points, a canal is crossed by a Pünte, a self-operated ferry. The 3-Seas-Route can alternatively be extended to 35 kilometers. Then you reach the village of Suurhusen, where you will find the most leaning tower in the world. With 5.19 degrees, it has a greater tilt than the leaning tower of Pisa. There you can also visit the Landarbeiterhaus. This small museum illustrates the life and work of farm workers' families from 1900 to 1950. In Bedekaspeler Marsch, a restaurant invites you to stop for a break. Once you have crossed the Marscher Tief towards Bedekaspel by the Pünte, you can enjoy a fascinating view of the Große Meer from the viewpoint. On the northern shore of the Große Meer, various establishments invite you to linger once more at the end.
