The four-day route takes us through an impressive glacier world, surrounded by white peaks that belong to the highest in Austria. A characteristic feature of the area is the vastness of the many connected glaciers.
The route begins with a gentle climb to the Hochjoch Hospiz southwest of Vent. There is plenty of time for exercises in the terrain and at the end of the day, practice with harness and rope can be done. The second day is neither long nor difficult but is strenuous. We climb to 3000 meters and then reach the glacier for the first time. Accommodation is in the Brandenburgerhaus (3272m), completely surrounded by glaciers, the second highest hut in Austria! On the third day, it is fairly flat until the Guslarjoch. The descent over the Guslarferner requires concentration and attentiveness because there are many crevasses. On the last day, you no longer walk over glaciers, but the beautiful high trail to the Breslauer Hütte requires quite surefootedness. After a good lunch, it is then another two hours descending to Vent.
