    Roadbook

From the Hildesheim Hut follow the marked path, first descending into a hollow and then continuing over moraine debris along the path up to about 3000 m. Here you enter the Pfaffenferner and follow it in a northeasterly direction to the Pfaffenjoch (3212m). From Pfaffenjoch along the Sulzenauferner below the Zuckerhütl to the Pfaffensattel (3332m). At Pfaffensattel the ascent begins over the east ridge to Zuckerhütl (3505m). There are some protection points on the upper part of the ridge.
Descent same as ascent to Pfaffenjoch.

From Pfaffensattel over the west flank to the summit, descent via the east ridge (marked II) to the Müller Hut.

From the Müller Hut over rocky terrain to the Übeltalferner and from there in a northeasterly direction up to the south ridge, reached at about 3300 m. Up the ridge (fixed ropes) to the border summit. From there follow the Prad tracks westwards to the main summit.
Descent took place on the partly marked path towards the Nürnberger Hut down to the notch southwest of the Urfallspitze and then following the marked path to the Sulzenau Hut.

But be careful on the descent – always follow the cairns and not from about 3250 m the red marking. This marking goes east and not to the DAV huts.
